Happy birthday Wesley! We had a great time spending the evening celebrating with Mom, Seth, Grandma and Grandpa, Ben and Carma, and Wesley’s uncle Wayne. Today was my first chance to really get to know Wayne, and that was fun. It was a productive, yet fairly relaxing day. It’s been nice to have two days now where I’m dealing with some work things but not running around like a lunatic trying to take care of work and home stuff. Today was my last day of transitioning patients in person, so hopefully I can tie up the loose ends of closing my business on Monday and Tuesday before we leave. It’s been difficult bc the one person I need to talk to at the department of public health has been unavailable. Pray that I can get ahold of her and finish things up before we leave.
Our official departure has been planned. We’ll be leaving on Tuesday to fly to Denver, stay with Wesley’s aunt and uncle in Loveland for a day, and then flying down to Albuquerque on Wednesday. We’ll gather some camping gear, and then head out on our journey. Tomorrow is our going away party from 2 to 6, and we look forward to seeing and having the chance to say goodbye to a lot of our friends and family.
Happy Birthday Wesley! We wish you the best in trying to find a safe and healthy place to live!
