Sorry I didn’t get anything posted the past few days. I got locked out and didn’t feel like figuring out how to change my password in the midst of all the other changes going on. We’re finally settled and able to catch up. This was written over two days and I didn’t go back to fix it so hopefully it makes sense. Sunday we spent most of the day getting ready to head back out to go camping again Monday. We got a new tent, air mattress, and a few other things including luxury sitting in $6 Walmart chairs. We also got some laundry washed, and I decided that the harbor freight on Menaul is not my friend. That’s the second time we’ve gone to that store, and it’s second time I have left not feeling well so we will have to find a different harbor freight for future purchases. Once we decide if we’re keeping the truck or not then will be able to get a generator and a spin dryer, which should make laundry a lot easier.

We went to Red Robin for dinner, and that was really good. I so appreciate that Red Robin is so allergy friendly. If you’re looking for a good place for a burger and bottomless fries (or salad or broccoli if you’re being good), that’s a good choice. Wesley got the freckled lemonade which is a lemonade with strawberries in it and I got the purple lemonade and that was really good too. I’ve had the freckled lemonade before I decided to try something different tonight.
To all of my TMIers, this is the bathroom
Monday we drove down here. On the way we stopped at a local restaurant for our usual “Linner”. We has a nice chat with the waitress to see if she knew any ranchers who would let us camp on their land. We’re going to head up to meet a guy on Friday morning. It would be nice to have a home base for sure, and I wouldn’t mind doing some work on a ranch. We talked with the campground host too long and ended up setting up camp in bad air in the dark. We have enacted the we don’t talk part 3:30 unless camp is set up in the future rule after that. The next morning emotions were high and left us again questioning are we doing the wrong thing. We contacted our mentor who thought we were likely in FRAT (fire retardant associated toxin), which makes total sense bc we both get pretty emotionally messed up in that. Many past crying/angry moments. That’s what we were in up north, and the reason we moved. The next morning we tore down camp and moved out from the mountains into the plains. As much as I want to live amongst the forest, not the desert shrubs, it doesn’t work for us. We set up camp and drove to town to get my spin dryer from Walgreens- in case you didn’t know, you can get an amazon packages sent via FedEx re-routed to Walgreens. We got some food at Walmart, dinner at Applebees, a generator to run the spin dryer at harbor freight, and filled up the truck and gas can. We were able to pop in for highs and lows and prayer requests with our community group on zoom, which was awesome. We got back to camp, put stuff away, and went to bed.

Today, I cut some holes in a toilet plunger to make a laundry squisher. It worked pretty good. Wes tent staked the drying rack and I put that spin dryer to use. Laundry takes so little time and effort now. We’ve taken time to be more restful today. We decided to keep the truck so hopefully we’ll get the topper in 6-8 weeks once they get it ordered.

This big black beetle came crawling across the ground towards me. He kept coming back to my shoe so I shooed him with my foot and it put up the most toddler-like dramatic show. Flipped over, legs all flailed out (but still moving so I was fairly certain I hadn’t killed it) until I looked away for a few minutes while typing this and then he was back on his feet walking away. I told Wesley it was playing dead. LOL! We get to stay in one place another day! Each time that happens we rejoice! Wesley is stir crazy today. He wants to start working again. I’m stalling posting this bc I want to show you the sunset from our view the other way. Oh my goodness, I found Mr. Drama.
