On Saturday we drove from Oklahoma to Albuquerque. Today we went down to camp, sold our tent, and got everything else packed up. We had to load up everything that needed thrown away, returned, or things that were keeping as we do plan to do some camping this summer.
The really amazing thing was despite being in toxins all day, after taking showers down in Carrizozo, we felt pretty good. We came back to Albuquerque, found a hotel room for the night, and then went to Walmart to return a bunch of things that work for camping, but not for hotelling.
This has been a super successful trip. I’m not sure if we’ll end up going to Texas or Oklahoma tomorrow, but we’re planning to go to one of the two. I guess if we go to Oklahoma, will go through both. There is a huge cold snap coming through the south/southwest that I am really rather glad that we’re going to be in hotels for. It’s going to be warmer in New Mexico than Texas or Oklahoma, but we definitely want to be in Texas or Oklahoma because of better COVID politics and the ability to continue using the hot tub/pool.
