We spent a night in the eastern panhandle of TX and three nights in the OKC area since I last posted. I searched OKC and suburbs for hotels with hot tubs advertised- there were 26. After calling them all, I was down to 9, one of which we had stayed in before and they had a salt water pool and hot tub so we were hoping to find something else, but it was our back up plan. We didn’t check 2 bc they weren’t in good air or had real bad lobbies and one wouldn’t let us check rooms. The others were all above tolerance. We headed down to a town south of OKC and finally found a room that worked for us.
The next day we went up to the hotel that wouldn’t let us check rooms and talked with the manager who let us check rooms. I decided to work on my accounting using the laptop we got when we were in southern NM. I chose the far corner of the seating area for breakfast to do that project in case the computer was bad and it was awful. My brain was struggling and Wesley got super slammed. I figured being I’d done that much and was pretty wrecked that I’d get the information off my work laptop while I was at it and be done with it. After that I went to the UPS store to ship the whole technology tote back to Iowa. I wish we’d never brought all those computers with us, but such is life. Live and learn. It was going to cost $92 plus shipping to ship it all back so I decided to wait because Wesley’s phone had died. That laptop made about a 25’ radius of badness in that room so fellow moldies, know you can wreck a big area with a bad laptop.
We talked with Simcha who recommended just paying what it cost to ship the computers back and be done with it. We did that and decided to go back to the town we stayed at south of OKC, but they were sold out. We got hit really hard driving by Purcell and then I think ag and Cyano might be making their spring debuts bc it felt off in general south of OKC in varying degrees. We decided to go back to the hotel we stayed at the night before bc it felt better in town. We went to dinner and then came back to the hotel. The goal was to lift power Simcha’s recommendations, but it was pretty rough feeling in the gym so we went for a walk instead. It didn’t feel great outside so we decided to leave the next day in search of better air.
This morning we decided to start our journey south. We made it to Shreveport. We’ve quite a few more hours to travel, but if the air stays good, we may just stay here awhile and do some healing. We asked the hotel front desk guy a good place to eat and he said it was crawfish season so off to Shane’s Crawfish and BBQ we went for dinner. The waitress was awesome and helped us order and taught us how to eat what we ordered. ?
