I started this the other day and never finished it. We went to see both Orange Beach and Gulf Shores the day after our last post. We went for a two mile walk on Orange Beach and I was drenched in sweat. It felt so amazing being on the beach. The best part is my weird sensory aversion with sand is healed, and the beach is enjoyable. Our hotel wasn’t going to let us check rooms a second time so we decided that being we’d wrecked the hot tub with toxins and their pool maintenance guy didn’t get the problem fixed, we’d just move on.
Our mold avoidance coach is coming so we wanted to go scope out the area before he came so we can check our perceiving skills so we skipped checking out some areas we wanted to investigate and will come back to it.
We’ve had great nights of sleep here. Who would’ve thought FL would be good for mold avoidance?? No one who doesn’t understand location effect and outdoor super toxins. Since avoiding those, there are moldy buildings that aren’t perfect, but tolerable. We went to Walmart today and my favorite cereal got put out incorrectly on a $1 display. They honored it and in got 2 big bags of Fruity Pebbles for $2, and then the supervisor scurried away to get them taken off the display. ? Note to self, take pictures of displays that don’t seem right and you can get great deals anyways.
We had severe storm warnings today so our exploring was short bc Wesley didn’t want to be out and about during a tornado watch. We went to IHOP for lunch. They have hoppy hour 2-10pm so we got burgers and mozzarella sticks for $13. Score! Next we went to Aldi to get veg to balance that junk for dinner and then Walmart to refill water jugs and grab a few things. We hot tubbed and lifted this afternoon/evening around the storms.
We’re hoping someone cancels their reservation and we can stay in this hotel a third night, but as of now they’re sold out tomorrow. Another one we checked yesterday has rooms so we may have to move there tomorrow. Then we can go to the beach and explore out there!
There’s a pair of ducks that come back to this hotel each summer. The female flew in and landed on the wall. She was looking around and the male flew in and landed in the pool after which, the female flew down into the pool.
Swimmers ear is evil. That’s all. I’ve used homeopathic drops and got my atlas adjusted. It’s not super painful anymore and is opening up enough to hear occasionally now, but it’s annoying to only be able to hear out of your left ear.
