We stayed 3 nights in Amarillo, TX and decided that it’s a good stay over location, not a stay there location for the boy and I. We headed to Albuquerque next and all the people we wanted to see were out of town so we headed south. It was fun being back “home.” We meet up with Team Robinson first for dinner and then for a hike. We went to White Sands and visited the church we went to when we camped at Three Rivers Ranch on BLM land. We hiked at the ranch we lived on when we first started with the Robinsons, and got to see Jim. We will figure out how to see Welda when we come back through. Wesley got to meet his co-worker Ashley, and Ashley and her daughter got a brief look at Samuel because I was on a FaceTime with my mom’s cousin and aunt. We hope to see Patti and Mary in person next time through NM and we’ll see Ashley again when we go to Vegas.
We learned an expensive lesson about extended warranties for your vehicle. We forgot that the plan expires at 45,000 miles which was about 12,000 miles ago so we had to pay for all of our maintenance and repairs out of pocket including the new key that we couldn’t get when we wanted to bc they only allow 1/year not 3 in a 3 year period. Lesson learned. Feel free to learn it from our mistake.

Hiking with Team Robinson at the ranch
High Tressel bridge and route to Cloudcroft
Drive to Ruidoso. That’s some wild fire damage. We wanted to see how we were affected by fire retardant associated toxin (FRAT) before we got farther west and encountered a bunch of it.
Pictures at our ABQ hotel. We got to see Kendyll, which was awesome. She has a whole team now instead of essentially living at the hotel to cover staffing shortages during the peak of the pandemic
Cool rock formations driving from ABQ to AZ
Looking good think of you guys often down here. I’m still living on the beach doing alot of freight trips to Europe now, best.
