Sad story. Our hotel room went bad yesterday. We did our best to make it work, but we’re going to have to switch rooms today. My cousin Patti lives in Albuquerque and we went over and did a bunch of laundry at their house yesterday which was a huge blessing. We were able to have a line up and hang the clothes to dry instead of the hangers on the gate like we did at the hotel the day before. We were able to get everything washed in except for what we wore yesterday. At the rate we’re going through clothes it’s going to be a decent amount of laundry every day but it is what it is.
On the first day at the hotel, we washed all of our electronics in with ammonia water. That has not proved to be successful thus far. We’re still trying to figure out what to do with all of it being we have Two smart phones, three laptops, an iPad, two kindles , and a biofeedback machine. We’re hoping to be able to keep them but we’ll see what happens.
Our rockstar manager at our hotel was awesome!!! We got a new room and decontaminated. I feel a million times better. So much for going to church here in Albuquerque. We’ll catch Grace our Veritas online. The huge bonus of this room is that the bathroom is right inside the door instead of having to walk all through the kitchenette, bedroom and finally to the bathroom. This will help the decontamination.
After we got our room switched, we headed to the Sandia Mountains to go hiking. That was a lot of fun, and we hiked about 1000 feet of vertical change. I have no idea the actual length that we hiked, but I know it was a really short part of the trail that we were on. After we finished that we got some Cajun food and then headed over to the good old Walmart to do more shopping. I do believe we’ve been to Walmart twice a day every day except for today. There’s now a bunch of laundry that needs to be done before we had to leave, so even I’d the rest of our gear comes in time to camp tomorrow we might not be able to leave tomorrow. Not to mention we don’t know where we’d go. Welcome to just roll through life minute by minute. I like it.
