Answered prayer! Three rivers area- day 14

It’s amazing how God answered when there’s no way to figure out the answer to your need and you turn to God waiting in expectation of his provision. I knew that he would provide a place for us, which he did. We met with a rancher last night who is willing to let us live on his land until spring. Not only is he willing to let us live on his land, but he’s willing to let us build a clothesline, put down a gravel pad for our tent, and use his water. We’re going to go out and check it out on Tuesday, and as long as we feel well, which we have driving through that area in the past, we’ll get our camp moved out that way and order a nice tent and heater to keep us warm this winter. Wesley is researching solar power for us too.

You might be wondering how we found a rancher who would let us live on their land, and that is a good question! Most ranches around here I aren’t run by the owners, but they are owned by rich people in other areas who employ people to run their ranches. Those people obviously do not have the authority to say sure you can stay on the land. That’s what we ran into here at Three Rivers when I asked. The rancher who I talk to was nice about it, but he didn’t have the authority to give us that permission. So how did we find our rancher? The waitresses at the local restaurant! You know all those ranchers go in and have coffee at some hour the morning I’m still sleeping. They gave me a name, I called the guy, and told him that the waitress had told me to give him a call. We were having a heck of a time connecting because of phone reception on the ranch, but he was willing to meet with us. After telling him our story, he was happy to let us live on his land. Money couldn’t buy a guy willing, and we had nothing but connections we were building and an awesome God who provided a way. Join us in praising our Jehova Jireh (my God who provides).
