Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope that you all had a wonderful day. Wesley and I were talking this morning about how we don’t think Thanksgiving looks like Thanksgiving for very many people this year, and that our not being able to be with our families today wasn’t really all that different from what it would be like if we were still in Iowa. We had dinner with the rancher’s family today. I sat on the floor and colored with Jasper while the guys were talking, and after we finished his picture, I introduced the grandkids to Fun Race 3D. I showed them how to play and then they disappeared with my phone, which was nice bc then the adults could chat. It was fun to be able to chat with some people other than each other.
We planned to get Larry today, but Jordan brought his pony sized dog so there was not a cat to be seen at the ranch today. Kiki, the super friendly cat that lives at the house we shower at was another option so we’re going to give that a try. She’s Larry’s mom and Welda thinks she might be pregnant again. I told her if she is, we’ll be sure to get the kittens back up to the ranch. Because Larry is a tomcat and they have a female up at the house, it was assumed he’d end up at the house, which was my original concern.
We’re in route back home and there is a huge amount of trucks on roads along the way we’re traveling. It’s looks like they’re doing earth work. Odd for thanksgiving night!
The update on our cat situation: Kiki sat in the truck with me during Wesley’s shower and I remembered why I was such a staunch believers that animals live outside. We’re not going to be able to have an animal in a tent, probably ever unless mold avoidance fixes allergies.
Happy thanksgiving!! Hope your grandpa is doing okay!
