Jim came and dug the hole for our out house today. Apparently there’s an old out house up by their house that we can either partially disassemble and he can move it down here to use or completely disassemble it and use what we will to build a new one, and we would just be responsible for getting rid of the anything we don’t use. That can all be put in the old cistern and burnt along with burnable garbage. God’s provision and hand upon this journey is so amazing. We priced lumber to build an out house yesterday and it was going to cost ~$300 just for the lumber.
We went to Capitan to get a regulator and hose so we can hook up a grill sized propane tank to our camp stove, a spark plug for our generator, and some eggs. The governor put in place a bunch of restrictions that started today so the eggs were sold out along with a lot of other things at Walmart yesterday. We found eggs and a spark plug, but I haven’t figured out the solution for camp stove yet. Once we got back to Carrizozo, we checked out two properties as options for showers in the future- one was a quick two steps in the building no, and the other will work! We headed back to the ranch earlier than we usually do, and I got a lot of laundry done. My hope for tomorrow is to wash blankets and clean the truck.
