After so many days of not feeling settled, we had two days each in two locations and were able to find another today. We decided to cancel our prior reservation to go back to the place near the beach we found today for at least Sunday-Thursday this week. We’re still going to go back and paddle the ichetucknee springs at some point, but not this week.
When on the beach, eating seafood seems like the right thing to do so after our walk on the beach, we headed across the street for dinner. Wesley got crab stuffed shrimp and I got a lobster tail and shrimp. YUM! I saved myself and my family allot of money growing up and my entire adult life until now being seafood adverse. Maybe I didn’t really miss out all that much being fresh seafood in Iowa doesn’t really exist. We’re enjoying this journey in Florida.
We haven’t had a hot tub to soak in the past two days so when I got all sweaty today, it was the super toxic yucky sweat I used to have all the time in Iowa. ? We sweated walking on the beach and then came back to the hotel and worked out. I’ve never seen such a great hotel gym in my life! We did mid back rows using straps, box jumps, kettlebell swings (single and double arms), passed a 12# medicine ball, single leg RDLS, and a set of frontal raises/Y’s to work lower traps and shoulders. We were both a sweaty mess and I stunk even worse than after walking on the beach!
Yay! Happy to are finding good places and continuing to heal and have fun doing it!
