This update is long coming. It’s been a hard and grueling journey recently. We’re playing the horrible feed forward spiral of horribleness of get slammed, pick a bad location, get slammed, pick a bad location, get slammed, repeat, repeat. Yuck! We’ve been all over southern Georgia and northern Florida recently, but had two nights in a good location and have six of the next nine nights booked and will decide exactly where we want to be for the middle the next week after we go back to the hotel we’ve been at the past two nights. They were sold out Saturday, and because Friday and Saturday are nearly double Sunday-Thursday cost, we opted to switch hotels tonight and go back on Sunday.
Today we went to Ichetucknee Springs and hiked and swam. We plan to go back Monday to paddle it. The water is crystal clear like a pool. I hope to check out more springs in Florida.
This little guy jumped from the wall to the fence. I jumped bc I saw it out of my peripheral vision right next to me. Wesley laughed when I reported it was a cute little frog. It was probably 1.5” long. The other, below, was about half that size.
Beautiful Pics
Will you venture to South FL at all or just North FLORIDA.
Maybe, we’ve really liked North Florida. From looking at maps it looks more populated and like there is more ag. Both of those would be drawbacks, but you don’t know how it is till you feel it.
Thats great. I have a friend who has done mold avoidance in hotels in south FL with their family and they did pretty well. I believe they are still there. They spend as much time on the beach as possible. They did say that the fL West coast was problematic a few times due to red tide and run off from chemical plants.
There are some awesome beaches here. Our favorite ones have been on the panhandle.
